It’s no secret that one of the hottest trends out right now is the Athleisure Trend, and it doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon. From rocking gym clothes to strutting through the streets of NYFW, the athleisure trend is here to stay. Needless to say, I’m not mad one bit. When I was pregnant and as big as a whale, wobbling around in heels just couldn’t cut it for me anymore. For the first six weeks postpartum, I didn’t want to dress up, so by default, athleisure became my new go to!
If you’re unfamiliar with this popular trend, let me break it down for you. It’s the most comfortable yet stylish look you can put together using just the yoga pants and tee-shirt in your closet. It’s literally that simple and very minimalistic. If you’re like me and want to style it up a little bit, you can add a windbreaker, a skirt and some sneakers as seen in the photos. Either way, you do it, it’s literally the most hassle-free style out right now and you simply can’t go wrong.
Tips on styling the Athleisure Trend this season:
- Pair a big chunky knit sweater with some leggings or bike shorts. Add minimal jewelry, a purse, and some sneakers and you can be styling for a casual day at the office.
- A windbreaker can go well with some jean shorts and thigh boots. Tuck it into the bottoms to give more off of a cinched silhouette. This can be worn for a nice night out with your girls or even brunch.
- Matching athletic sets are always an easy go to. Pair an Adidas sports bra and leggings with a nice windbreaker, add a watch and you’re gym ready or just ready to run some errands in style.
- Yoga pants and a cropped hoodie would be perfect for a casual date night married with minimal jewelry, a belt bag, and some sneakers.
